Kites 2002 and Weymouth 2002 on DVD

" Kites 2002 and Weymouth 2002 on DVD"

Two unique kiting videos brought together in one special edition DVD
that also contains previously unreleased footage.

Over 94 minutes of kiting footage from 2002, which also includes The Flying Squad stacked Revolution routine from Sunderland and The Decorators routine from Bristol.

This is a DVD-R disc compatible with modern DVD players, all regions, 4:3 aspect ratio and PAL encoded.

 

Kites 2002 is a journey, starting gently with the first festivals of the year, gradually building up through to the busiest and liveliest festivals, before ending with kite flyers' own thoughts on their personal "Highlight of the Year".

The video features interviews and commentary by kite flyers including Dave Robinson, Kevin Robson, Malcolm Goodman, George Penney, George Webster, Stafford Wallace, Paul Reynolds, Carl Robertshaw, Joe Brown, Andy King, Avril Baker, Felix Mottram, Peter Lynn, Jan Houtermans, Don Mock, Mike Goddard, Gill Bloom and Bill Farber.

We begin the journey watching children making their very first kites at Wellington Country Park, Team Adrenalize man-lifting at Streatham, and we get a taste of beach life in the trailer for the "Weymouth 2002" video.

At a blustery Middle Wallop in May, we get up close with kite buggiers and team flying, at Fylde we find out more about the European Air Gallery, and at Sunderland we explore the many facets of kite flying on offer.

Carl Robertshaw shows how to set up and fly a Matrix at Newbury, while at Dunstable Downs we enjoy the sunshine and stunning views.

Back to Middle Wallop in August, we ride in a tandem buggy with Roy Menage, get taken on a UFO adventure at Portsmouth, and finish off the journey with Bristol, triumphantly ending another great year in kiting.
