X-Zone Autumn Games

The fantastic weather on Saturday drew many buggiers and
mountainboarders to the the first ever "official" X-Zone Autumn
Games at Pembrey. Early morning rain soon passed over and left the sun
shining in a cloudless sky. It was warm, there was a constant 10-15mph
wind straight off the sea all day, the beach was dry and flat... buggy
heaven!
Novice, Pro and Mountainboard races were held throughout
the day, while many buggiers went on 'safari' down the beach. There was
plenty of room for everyone to enjoy themselves!
There was a wide range of makes and models of traction kite
being used: Flexifoil, Predator, Airea, Jojo, Wipika, Peter Lynn and more...
Roger Blake was there demo-ing the new PKD (Paracontrol Kite Division)
'Century' and 'Concept' quad line traction kites.
Sunday was a different matter - we didn't even make it to
the beach as it had been raining all night and all morning! Still, it
was worth the trip to see the fantastic beach and have a great day in
the sunshine on Saturday. Well done to the X-Zone guys for getting this
"Berrow replacement" organised. Judging by the popularity of
this event, next year's Games should be even bigger and better!
