Streatham Common Kite Day 2000

Sunday 9th April 2000

The third annual Streatham Common Kite Day was blessed with both sunshine and wind (although at times there was a little too much wind!). Despite a slightly soggy field from the previous night's rain, plenty of people attended, many bringing their kids who enjoyed themselves making and flying kites. There were many different kinds of kites up in the air, from one line inflatables to four line Revolutions and traction kites.

Team flying displays and demonstrations in the arena showed the public that kite flying was not just for the kids!
