32 degrees centigrade on the way to Wallop on Friday - what an excellent way
to start the weekend! In the evening Ian Meredith sacrificed his lime green
shorts by burning them, and then later revealed that he now favours an orange
bikini top.
Saturday was a very windy day with just about everyone out on the field. Joe
Brown unveiled his dragster 'buggy' complete with aerofoil. In the evening,
games of giant Jenga dominated the beer tent, courtesy of Garry Box. A big thank
you to the guy who helped cut down the Airbow stand-offs in Dunstable Kites
stall on Saturday!
Sunday was a next to no wind day, which left time for socialising and playing
with toys such as the hover disk. In the evening the second Wallop Film Festival
took place, which went down very well and didn't finish until midnight.
Monday there was a favourable wind and the field was again busy with flyers.
Here's
a short video showing Joe Brown's dragster kite bike and also an unusual
buggy.
