Berrow 2000 Daily Report: Monday 25th September
Despite a promising start this morning, with blue sky and
a gentle breeze, by mid morning the rain came in again!
The novice race went ahead at midday, despite the light
wind and incoming rain. The race was won by Pete from Team
X-Zone, but there were lots of very muddy buggiers and wet kites by
the end of the race!
The beach became increasingly obscured during the day, by
smoke from a fire on the sand dunes which left most people on the beach
choking on the fumes. How considerate.
The rain continued throughout the afternoon, although the
wind had picked up quite a bit by the end of the day. Just enough to attempt
to dry out the kites!
Handy hint: to clean your muddy kite, hang the shower head
out of the window of your caravan!
The evening do in the marquee was fairly low-key, with a
fantastic competition for the kids - see who can go to sleep first. It
kept them quiet for ages! Meanwhile some of the adults played "Bop
It, Twist It, Pull It". Yes, it was one of those nights..
